offline installation of perl modules

minicpan

1. System A with internet, install cpanmini

• cpanm install CPAN::Mini
• cd ~
• minicpan -l cpanmini -r http://www.cpan.org (will create a mirror of cpan modules)
• copy cpanmini to USB drive

2. System B (strawberry perl on windows) without internet. Insert USB and get path (eg e:\cpanmini)

• cpan
  • o conf urllist
  • o conf urllist pop (to remove any cpan mirrors etc)
  • o conf urllist file:///e:/cpanmini
  • o conf commit
  • o conf urllist (confirm the path is written)
• cpan install Dancer2::Plugin::Auth::Tiny
